LOCATION: DuSable Museum of African American History
740 East 56th Place, Chicago, Illinois 60637

A.W.E. (Art, Wine, & Entertainment) offers you with an evening of awe inspiring art work, uncommon wines, and eclectic entertainment. Connect with other Chicago-land art lovers as you enjoy live art demonstrations; spoken word; Afrobeat, House and Soul music; plenty of chocolate (people and sweets); and tours of our new exhibits, “Reflections” and “Geoffrey & Carmen: A Memoir in Four Movements.” While you’re here loving you and the ones you’re with, capture the moment by taking a picture in the “Power of Possibilities Photo Booth,” sponsored by Com Ed. Also, as part of this evening, in the DuSable Museum’s Community Gallery, Gallery Guichard opens their new exhibition “Shooting Stars” featuring the works of Raymond Thomas, Sura Dupart, and Yolanda Franklin.

This installment of A.W.E. features live art demonstrations by:

  • Fanta Celah
  • Candace Hunter
  • Kensey

and spoken word performances by M’Reld Green & Friends!
